Great article, definitely needs to be some things men focus on. Sexism, misogyny, the patriarchy are all very real things. You mentioned women play their parts in the dating world being what it is, so I'm not trying to deflect or dismiss but I wonder when things will come down to a greater focus on everyone just being better people. We focus on what women need to do or what men need to do, but I think we should have more of a focus on what people overall need to do because most of our problems come down to the same issues but manifest differently because men and women are treated differently within society.
The increasing separation amongst us isn't getting us anywhere.... Maybe if we start to focus on our shared humanity, while still acknowledging the roles that sex and gender play in our conditioning in society, we can all become healthier individuals who are more ready to contribute to healthy relationships.
I'm just tired of men pointing the finger at women and vice versa. It's very sad.
