This is why we have to abolish the celebrity culture. Especially in the black community. We place our faith and trust in people who we don't know personally. Its funny how having money makes people automatically consider people to be smarter than them. Our country is not a meritocracy. Just because we have all been brainwashed into believing that might makes right, and you become mighty through acquiring large sums of money, that doesn't make it true. Some people were just in the right place at the right time. Life is random like that. I have no faith in a black person to sacrifice for the greater good when they have reaped personal benefits from capitalism. Many people will choose money over humanity. We would like to think that black people would see the matrix for what it really is, a predatory system that uses artificial scarcity in order to control people through fear, but even those who don't benefit from the system believe in it. Because of exceptions to the rule. The rule being most people don't advance economically over the course of their life time and the exceptions being handsomely paid entertainers, who will most likely never use their platform to fight against the very system that lined their pockets. So shout out to Colin Kaepernick.
