We're all up against systems that have been in place for years and not been questioned by the majority of people. We aren't responsible for the mistakes of our demographic but it still pains us to see the ignorance once we become more informed on it. We just have to do our best to educate ourselves and educate those around us. We can't change people but we maybe can plant a seed of compassion for people who have a different lived experience than us. Standing up for what's right, volunteering our time, money and energy, we can't change it all at once but our effort truly does matter. While we are distracted by the issues of racism, sexism, and other issues, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer because we are divided as a people
